October 1st-4th 2026, This package includes all Fall For History Events for the entire weekend event. Starting at 7pm on Thursday through Sunday at 1pm.
This year's event takes a trip down memory lane, a mere 30 years ago, when Hollywood came to our small town to produce the film "Dante's Peak." We will tour you around town to see all the filming locations around town and jettison you back to 1996 when all the bustling took place and give you an insider view of the historic event.

October 1st-4th 2026, This package includes all Fall For History Events for the entire weekend event. Starting at 7pm on Thursday through Sunday at 1pm. Package holders receive entry to the Thursday Kick Off Social at the Fainting Goat, Friday's afternoon there will be movie showing at the Sixth Steet Melodrama & Theater, then in the evening a "Panel Discussion", on Saturday we will have our "Filming On Location's Tour" and late afternoon there will be a Memorabilia Museums & Shops Tour. Saturday evening with be Dinner at the Elks with Steak & Chicken and a fun evening of Trivia, then on Sunday the St Alphonsus Catholic Church will hold their regular mass at 11:00am in their beautiful church that is celebrating its 100-year anniversary and will have a building tour following the mass at noon. These cultural events are located throughout Wallace, and most are walking tours. All sales are final no refunds. All proceeds go to the Historic Wallace Chamber of Commerce.

Movie Showings $10 Friday October 2nd, 2026, Movie showings: 11:00am - 1:30pm - 3:30pm Our "A Classic Eruption in Wallace" Theme features the showing of a movie that was filmed in Wallace in 1996 that erupted our small mining town. Friday October 2nd, 2026, Panel Discussion 7:00pm-9:30pm Our "A Classic Eruption in Wallace" Panel Discussion features tidbits and local insights that were a part of the filming of various movies that were filmed in Wallace including Dante's Peak, Frivolous Sal and Heaven's Gate. On Locations Tour $25
Saturday October 3rd, 2026, "On Locations Tour" 10:00am - 10:30am - 11:00am - 11:30am - 12:00pm - 12:30pm - 1:00pm Take a walk with us and learn about the historic "On Locations Tour." And place yourself in very spot were many of the scenes from the filming of Dante's Peak took place right here in Wallace. Memorabilia Museums & Shops Tour w/Scavenger Hunt $15
Saturday October 3rd Memorabilia Museums & Shops Tour with Scavenger Hunt We are offering a Memorabilia Museums & Shops Tour in our historic district of downtown Wallace. The Tour is a self-guided walking tour that will include multiple stops available to view and engage with an assortment of historical memorabilia captured from local and regional resources from the movie Dante's Peak. This event includes a scavenger hunt with the winner being announced at our Fall For History Dinner Event later that evening. A location guide handout will be provided to our guests with all the curated locations. All sales are final no refunds
Fall For History Dinner & Trivia $35
Saturday October 3rd, 2026, Doors Open at 5:30pm and Dinner at 6:00pm at the Elks Lodge with "Test Your Knowledge Trivia" starting after 7:00pm until 9:00pm. Dinner will be a Steak & Chicken option with a baked potato, salad and very special Lava Cake for dessert. Enjoy some after dinner fun with our beloved local Sera White, as she will be our emcee for our "Test Your Knowledge Trivia." Also bring you dollars to join in our 50/50 raffle.
