FALL FOR HISTORY KICK- OFF THURSDAY AT 7PM $20

Schedule of Events:

Sept 28th Thursday

7-9 pm at the Blue Raven on Bank Street Registration Check-In for Event Package Holders and our Fall For History Kick-Off Event will feature a quartet of musicians playing Celtic music including jigs, reels and sea chanties. Includes a drink ticket and light appetizers.  

Sept 29th Friday

10:30 am at the Blue Raven Celtic Dance class taught by Joseph Erhard-Hudson he will teach dances that evoke the experience of the Irish immigrants, throwing in historical tidbits and information on other cultures as well.

1-4pm "Idaho Titans" movie playing on loop at the Wallace Mining District Museum on Bank Street (Free)

2:00pm at the Sixth Street Theater "Playing For Keeps - The life and contributions of Harry Magnuson" a presentation by Ron Roizen.

7:00pm at the Elks Lodge A Panel Discussion that will feature four locals whose family ties to this area date back to the 1880s and early 1900s. Their ethnicities represent Italians, Irish, Swedes and Finns.

Sept 30th Saturday

Trolley Tour Times 10:00am -11:00am -1:00pm - 2:00pm Starting at the Sierra Silver Mine Tour at 509 Cedar St Take a ride to Silverton Mountain Manor & through Wallace on a guided trolley tour that will highlight the ethnic influence that gave us our distinctive historic buildings and their architecture. 

2-4pm Freemason Open House 605 Bank St See some of the inner workings of the Freemason and Eastern Star, the world's oldest active fraternity and sorority. (Free)

Dinner and Casino Night - Doors Open at 5:30pm and Dinner at 6:00pm at the Elks Lodge with casino and bingo starting after 7:00pm until 9:00pm. Your choice of chicken or steak.

Oct 1st Sunday

10:00am at the Prayer Station Pine Street Attend the "Old Time Religion" Circuit Riding Pastor gives a Sunday Service at the Prayer Station on 4th & Pine St (Free)

Historic Home Tours 11:00am - 11:30am - 12:00pm - 12:30pm - 1:00pm - 2:00pm Starting at the Barnard Stockbridge Museum 312 4th St. On the historic Homes Tour, you will embark into the living history encapsulated in our neighborhood homes. A reception will follow with and after the tours with tea and cookies at the Barnard Stockbridge Museum on Cedar & 4th Street.

Pricing

The Fall For History All Weekend Package includes all tours and events and discounts on lodging for only $96 per person. We also have some ala carte options for individual tours starting at $10 per person.

Our Fall For History Festival is a full weekend event:

Sept 28th

Saturday Doors Open at 5:30pm and Dinner at 6:00pm at the Elks Lodge with casino and bingo starting after 7:00pm until 9:00pm. There is a choice or chicken or steak and you can make your selection in registration.

The Package for the Fall For History Event includes all the items listed. There are also some Ala Carte options to choose from but the best bang for your buck is our package deal. The “Idaho Titans” Movie will play at the Wallace District Mining Museum from 1-4:00pm on Friday and the Old Time Religion Service on Sunday at 10:00am both are free.

If you are looking to visit Wallace for an experience or if you are a "History Buff" please join us. We are offering full weekend of tour-packages and our hotels in town are offering discount lodging codes for all our participants.

A big "Thank You" to Dave Smith Motors and the Frank Morbeck Foundation for providing seed money to make all this possible. This event is hosted by the Historic Wallace Chamber of Commerce and is an annual fundraiser for the chamber. We have a spectacular committee that makes this event come together.
